D-Grid Cluster
Dell-Cluster: 5 Teraflop/s peak, 960 Gigabyte Main Memory, InfinibandA Linux-Cluster composed of 80 compute nodes with 480 cores. 40 nodes are connected by Infiniband with a latency of about 4 μs and a bandwith of 1.2 GByte/s. Accessible for D-Grid Users.

SAN
Sun StorageTek 6540Several servers are connected to the SAN. A centrally administrated storage-array in the ZIB is set up by a "SAN-director" and 13 SAN-switches with 112 x 2Gb/s and 200 x 4 Gb/s non-blocking Ports. Altogether, 1 PetaByte (1,000 GByte) of storage are available.

Data-Archive
STK SL8500: 38 DevicesFor the long-term storage, data is written to tape (with or without user-interaction). Two tape-robots are available. Fully charged with tapes, the capacity is 10 Petabyte (10,000,000 Gigabyte).
