Second phase of the installation successfully put into operation in the third quarter of 2009: More than 20,000 processor cores with 125 terabyte of memory reach 250 teraflop/s, internal networking over InfiniBand. For using the HLRN-II contact the Scientific Board.

SANSun StorageTek 6540Several servers are connected to the SAN. A centrally administrated storage-array in the ZIB is set up by a "SAN-director" and 13 SAN-switches with 112 x 2Gb/s and 200 x 4 Gb/s non-blocking Ports. Altogether, 1 PetaByte (1,000 GByte) of storage are available.
